Gleb Savchenko Says Brooks Nader Blindsided Him With Breakup News

Gleb Savchenko’s freshly-single status is apparently news to him.
While the pro dancer and his Dancing With the Stars partner Brooks Nader recently broke up, according to multiple outlets, he revealed he found out about the split the same way everyone else did.
“I was surprised to learn through an article published today … that Brooks has ended our relationship,” Gleb said in a statement obtained by Us Weekly April 7. “The last communication I received from her was a text on April 6, asking to speak. I called her today in response, but she has not replied.”
Adding to his shock, Gleb—who shares daughters Olivia, 14, and Zlata, 7, with ex-wife Elena Samodanova—said he was with the Sports Illustrated model less than one week before their romance came to an end.
“The last time I saw Brooks,” he explained, “was when I traveled to New York to support her and film an episode of her reality show on March 31 and April 1.”
And while the 41-year-old said he was “still processing everything” regarding the breakup, he wished Brooks, 28, “the best moving forward.”
E! News has reached out to Gleb's rep for comment but hasn’t heard back. Brooks' rep declined to comment when contacted by E! News.
Gleb’s revelation marks the latest development in the former couple’s on-off romance, which they publicly confirmed in September. One month later, he ended the relationship via text message. However, they shared a steamy kiss during rehearsals for the DWTS finale in November, confirming the pair were definitely an item once again.
Just weeks ago, in fact, Brooks explained how she and her then-boyfriend were making things work after giving their love another go.
“I think just communication,” she told E! News at the Clarins ICONS Event in Los Angeles in March. “And my mom always says, ‘You know the truth.’ So no matter what anyone says, as long as you know the truth, we’re all good.”
