Charlize Theron Proves She’s the Ultimate Dior Woman (Once Again) in the Christian Dior Haute Joaillerie Campaign

By now, you’re no doubt completely accustom to seeing Charlize Theron as the face of Christian Dior. After all, the South African-born beauty has been well affiliated with the fabled French fashion house since 2004, when Nick Knight captured Charlize as the face of the iconic J’adore fragrance. The relationship between Dior and Theron hit new territory late last year, as it was announced that Rihanna was to replace the actress as the face of J’adore. Theron, despite the shakeup, remains on the books and is now Dior brand ambassador for skincare and jewellery. The Old Guard actress’ debut campaign for Christian Dior Haute Joaillerie is here. The powers that be at Dior HQ called upon Mario Sorrenti to shoot the campaign, with Charlize pictured throughout looking the epitome of elegance and grace in the sophisticated studio-shot campaign.

“A bit boring and conventional. Charlize looks great. I wish it had more fantasy, though,” commented Lola701 upon checking out the campaign.

“She looks good but this is boring and flat,” echoed Avonlea.

“It was photographed by Mario Sorrenti. Why did anyone expect anything more than flat?” asked 90sfan.

Royal-Galliano added: “The photography feels flat, but so does everything else Dior these days. At least it’s not cheap looking. The jewels are beautiful, and Charlize Theron elevates the whole thing. She’s a great brand face!”

“Chicness and class personified. I hope they realized how flop the decision to ditch her for Rihanna for the J’adore perfume campaign was,” noted FashionPower.

“You could never make me hate Charlize Theron for Dior. The images don’t break new ground or rock my world, but I’m able to appreciate the simplicity and the lack of gimmicks. You don’t need a pretentious concept when you’ve got a subject like Charlize,” enthused vogue28.
