Eight years on from BBC star Bruce Forsyth's death, his beauty queen widow Wilnelia - a Puerto Rican model who won Miss World in 1975 - is coming to terms with the fact that she might be moving on. She still imagines the pride her husband, a former pro golfer, might feel if he could see her enjoying the same hobby nowadays - but she's made the heartwrenching realisation that it could be the right time to start dating again.

Talking fondly of her relationship with Bruce, with whom she shares a 39-year-old son, Jonathan Joseph, she admitted to the Mirror she has "no idea" what is "in store" for her future. However, she's been keeping active on the social circuit, attending big events like Ascot, and enjoying trips back to her native Puerto Rico. A keen philanthropist, she also involves herself in charity work - and if she meets the right man, she's open to fitting him in to her jam-packed social calendar.

Wilnelia still has enormous respect for her husband's family and recalls that she even recently celebrated the 70th birthday of one of her step-daughters, who is three years her senior.

Describing the loss of Bruce as still "difficult", she then consoled herself with a key reminder: "I always think at least I am surrounded by all my family."

Talking of her golfing hobby, she added: "[Bruce] would love it. I am the Vice President of Variety Golf. He would have been very impressed with it, I think!"

Meanwhile, back in her homeland, she's started a charity for those caring for elderly people living with brain conditions - and the cause is understandably close to her heart.

"My father and mother both passed away and they both had Alzheimer's. I was a caregiver - and this is for the caregivers," she explained.

Meanwhile, she credits her optimistic attitude for her youthful looks - as well as the fact that she isn't trying to be unnaturally skinny.

She revealed that she'd put "a few pounds on" and is comfortable with her looks currently.

Bruce died in 2017, just one year before the milestone 90th birthday he'd hoped to celebrate, and TV viewers across the UK mourned the end of an era as his 75 years in showbiz drew to a close.
