Britain's Got Talent star is unrecognisable 12 years on after £22k surgery transformation

Britain's Got Talent sensation Rosie O'Sullivan is barely recognisable from her days on the ITV talent show. The gifted singer, who captivated audiences with her musical prowess 11 years ago and even made it to the semi-finals in 2013, underwent a dramatic transformation after shedding an astonishing 17 stone. Following her rise to fame on the show, the 30 year old decided to embark on a comprehensive health overhaul. She underwent gastric sleeve surgery, investing £20,000 in the procedures.
The brunette bombshell undertook the life-altering operation to chase her dreams of stardom and starting a family. It seems her dreams have become reality as she announced her pregnancy with her first child in 2022. Sharing a heartwarming image of her baby scan on Instagram, she penned: "We Cannot Wait To Meet You Little One, Our Hearts Are So Full Of Love, You Really Are Our Little Miracle, Sent From Above.", reports the Daily Star.
The Birmingham beauty previously opened up to The Sun about her weight struggles and how they affected her life. She confessed to the newspaper: "When I appeared on BGT I was nearly 30 stone.
"I was hot, sweaty and struggled to walk up stairs, and the costume department had to make dresses for me as it was impossible to get trendy clothes in a size 28. I hit a real low and I told my parents I wanted weight loss surgery after seeing and advert online.
"I was active, I went to the gym and swimming, but I thought about food like an alcoholic thinks about drink, I was obsessed." After hearing her plight, Rosie's parents decided to fund the £5,000 surgery privately, and the results were swift.
The celebrity shared that during the procedure, surgeons also removed a section of her stomach responsible for producing the hunger-inducing hormone ghrelin, aiding her in maintaining her new weight. The outcome was nothing short of miraculous, with Rosie shedding five stone within three months post-operation.
Despite being on a strict liquid diet, she had lost seven stone by Christmas. Although medical professionals cautioned she might not slim down further, by her one-year surgery anniversary in April 2015, Rosie had astonishingly dropped 13 stone.
However, the dramatic weight loss left her with surplus skin, causing her distress over the thought of never wearing skirts or crop tops again. Standing at six feet one inch, she invested £8,000 in a tummy tuck, which not only helped her lose another stone but significantly boosted her self-esteem.
However, her joy was fleeting as she proceeded to schedule a bilateral thigh reduction. This procedure involved surgeons making incisions from her mid-calf to knee and from knee to groin to tighten the skin and remove the excess.
She spent an additional £6,000 on this operation and shed another stone in weight due to the removal of excess skin.
