Addison Rae Used Hayley Williams' Hair Dye for "Headphones On" Music Video

Addison Rae went full hot pink for her most recent music video, with a little help from Hayley Williams's haircare company.

The TikToker-turned-pop-music-maker debuted the music video for her new single, “Headphones On,” on Friday, April 18. The ultra-dreamy song coincides with her fantasy alter ego in the music video, which shows a blonde Addison Rae picturing herself riding a horse in slow-mo. The fantasy version of Rae also has bright, hot pink hair, and it turns out that no, it's not a wig.

The haircare company Good Dye Young, which was co-founded by Paramore frontwoman Hayley Williams and her longtime hairstylist Brian O'Connor, shared multiple photos of Rae on the brand's official Instagram account, detailing her pink hair. Hairstylist Lucas Wilson used Good Dye Young's semi-permanent hair dye “Ex-Girl” on Rae, per the caption. The color is described as a “True, hot-pink with bright warm undertones," which stays in place for 16-24 washes.

“HEADPHONES ON !! 🎧💖 [Lucas Wilson] used GDY EX-GIRL to plug into PINK hair on [Addison Rae] for her new music video,” the caption read. “Pink pop hair is here, volume’s all the way up.”

Good Dye Young has become known for its vibrant hair dye colors, especially after Williams herself became a symbol of bold hair colors (like her signature orange from the “Misery Business” days). It seems now that Rae is following in those footsteps with her own take on bright pink hair.

Hayley Williams also shared multiple photos of Rae's hair from the music video on her own Instagram Story, writing, “Have loved every single thus far. so cool [Good Dye Young] got to play a tiny part in this one. [Addison Rae] ex-girl was made for you.”
