1000-Lb. Sisters’ Tammy Slaton Debuts Body-Hugging Shapewear
Tammy Slaton is showing off her new figure.
One month after the results of her skin removal surgery were revealed on an episode of 1000-Lb. Sisters, the TLC star put her new form on display.
In a July 20 TikTok, the 38-year-old shared a series of selfies from her life as of late, including one standout snap of herself smiling while sporting an all-black, body-hugging shapewear piece that emphasized the 500 pounds she has lost since undergoing bariatric surgery in 2022.
Tammy paired the carousel of joy-filled pics with a TikTok sound that clapped back at any doubters of her weight loss journey, which said, “I understood the assignment. Did the assigner of the assignment understood who they were assigning the assignment to? You’ll have to ask the assigner on that one. Personally, I don't think they did any research.”
Before her skin removal surgery, the reality TV star—who appears on 1000-Lb. Sisters alongside her sister Amy Slaton-Halterman—had been vocal about her desire to get the procedure, as well as the setbacks that prevented her from getting approved for it. But after hard work, she eventually got the green light from her doctors.
“After six years and losing over 500 pounds, I was finally approved for surgery,” Tammy told People last month. “I was just overwhelmed with excitement. I worked really hard for this, and now it's here. I'm pretty sure it was noticeable on my face how immediately shocked and then overwhelmed with joy I was.”
Once she was approved, though, she also detailed the nerves she had surrounding the procedure.
“I was really nervous for the skin removal surgery because I was really just kind of afraid of how I'm gonna feel looking at myself without the belly there,” Tammy continued. “The night before my surgery, I was seriously freaking terrified.”
She added, “I was even more nervous about having skin removal surgery than I was for the [sleeve gastrectomy] surgery because they’re actually cutting the whole belly!”
As Tammy—who announced her engagement to fiancée Andrea Dalton last month—continues to celebrate her new body, she has been adamant about sharing her appreciation for those that have supported her along the way.
“So much [has] changed about me over the years,” she captioned a July 1 TikTok carousel of more selfies. “I couldn’t be more thankful and blessed to have the support and love not only from my fans/besties but my girlfriend and ofc my family.”
She added, “This is my thank you for helping me keep going!!”

As of August 2024, she has lost 500 pounds.

That same month, Tammy posted a group photo with her brother Chris Combs and YouTuber Chelcie Lynn.
In July 2023, Tammy mourned the death of her husband Caleb Willingham. "Rip sweet angel you will forever be missed and loved so much," she wrote on Instagram alongside throwback photos, "thank you Caleb for showing me real love and happiness."

Amid her weight loss journey, Tammy continued to provide her followers with the optimism she had gained throughout her 500-lb. weight loss.
“Always remember you are beautiful,” she wrote in the caption of an August 2024 TikTok. “You are strong. You are brave. You are loved and you are enough.”
After months of setbacks that prevented Tammy from being approved for skin removal surgery, she was finally given the green light for the procedure.
She unveiled the results on a June 2025 episode of the TLC series.
