After meeting on set of House of Arkansas in Arkansas in 2021, the pair confirmed their relationship shortly after, followed by their engagement and marriage—all in under two years. In July 2025, they welcomed their first child together.

May 2021Bosworth and Long met on set while filming a project in Arkansas. After wrapping, the actress posted a tribute to Long on Instagram, writing, “Holy moly @justinlong you are a truly spectacular / fun / funny / kind / rare / thoughtful / totally. fckn. rad human being. 🌻 THANK YOU for lifting us up ... you kept it light & full of laughter daily, even through the toughest moments. You gnome how much I love ya 💛 (sorry had to ;)”
Bosworth announced her split from filmmaker Michael Polish, her husband of nearly eight years. “Our hearts are full, as we have never been so enamored and deeply grateful for one another as we do in this decision to separate,” she wrote on Instagram. “What happens when we reach the end of something and realize … we are just at the beginning.”
Long confirmed he was in a relationship during an episode of his podcast, Life Is Short. While talking about pizza toppings with his guest, Fortune Feimster, he shared, “People have been saying [pineapple] lately and it’s funny my girlfriend said that hers is—she loves the pineapple, too.”
January 2022A source confirmed to Us Weekly that Long and Bosworth had been dating “for a few months.” Later that month, the actor and podcaster showed support for Bosworth’s new project Bring on the Dancing Horses, writing on Instagram Stories, “So excited to watch @katebosworth in the INCREDIBLE-looking western #BringOnTheDancingHorses. Which you can apparently watch AT HOME.”
March 2022The couple was photographed in a car together in Los Angeles, marking one of their first public sightings since romance rumors began.
April 2022Long appeared on The Viall Files podcast, where he said, “I had gotten to a place where I was comfortable with myself. I didn’t know it at the time, but I was ready for the one. And the one, I met. I found.” Without naming Bosworth, he added, “I want to [talk about it], but I also want to be protective. I want to scream it from the rooftops, but I also want to be protective. It’s sacred.”
Later that month, the couple was photographed kissing on a beach in Hawaii during a trip for a friend’s wedding.
May 2022In another podcast appearance on Chelsea Handler’s Dear Chelsea, Long said of Bosworth, “There’s something about it, for me, that I feel like I need to protect and keep sacred because it feels sacred.”
“I’ve never had anything like this before,” he continued. “I’ve never experienced this. So it’s something I want to protect and keep, you know?”
June 2022Bosworth posted a birthday tribute for Long: “You were born today and the world lit up brighter than it had known and years later you met a girl who’s life was disassembled / rearranged but you were patient and with time she fell in love now she has a glow (one that was forgotten long ago) she is so grateful *more than you’ll ever know 💛 Happy Birthday @justinlong you make me smile so big my face hurts xx Thank you for creating peace in my heart since the day we met.”
The couple traveled to Ireland together, and Long posted photos of their date at the pub.
Long thanked Bosworth on Instagram for helping him prepare for his role in Barbarian, calling her his “favorite acting coach + scene partner who ran lines with me and helped me feel so prepared for such a fun but demanding role.”
Long revealed to People that he and Bosworth had been celebrating Halloween by watching a horror movie every night. “We just love horror,” he said. “It’s really limitless, what you can do with that genre. I think that’s what we really have been enjoying about it.”
November 2022Bosworth posted, “HAPPY THANKSGIVING 🧡🍂 So grateful for your warmth and safety and that bright beautiful ever glow @justinlong … you make life so much fun. xx.”
To celebrate Bosworth’s 40th birthday, Long wrote on Instagram: “She is 40! 🥳💛🎂She is also the best part of my day, everyday—even when we’re not together. April 2023Long and Bosworth confirmed their engagement on his podcast. Long explained, “It was a moment where it just felt so organic and it felt connected to something very, very deeply, profoundly personal that we were going through, like, a real life change, and so it came out in a very organic way.”
May 2023Long referred to Bosworth as his “now-wife” during an episode of his podcast, recalling her visiting him while filming Barbarian in Bulgaria: “I was there while I was like really falling in love with my now-wife...and we just had the most magical time.”
Sources confirmed that Bosworth and Long got married in an “impromptu and casual” ceremony at the Rockaway Hotel in Queens. A source told People, “She knew that she never wanted a big wedding. She just cared about being married.”
January 2024Long celebrated Bosworth’s 41st birthday with a tribute: “One day our kids might ask me, ‘Dad, why did you write sappy things about Mom on that old Instagram app?
