Gisele Bündchen Is Skipping the 2025 Met Gala for a Good Reason

Gisele Bündchen made a viral appearance at the 2023 Met Gala, showing up in a vintage Chanel couture gown and a feathered cape. But this year, just like in 2024, she will be skipping out on the festivities. TMZ revealed that the model, who recently welcomed her first child with partner Joaquim Valente, “never planned to go” to this year’s Met Gala. The outlet was told that Bündchen and Valente will be spending the night with their baby boy instead.
While the couple has been seen out since Bündchen gave birth in the winter, they haven’t attended any public events. On March 12, a source told People that Bündchen is in a great place as she settles into new parenthood again. (Bündchen shares two older children, 15-year-old Benjamin Rein and 12-year-old Vivian Lake, with her ex-husband, Tom Brady.)

“Gisele’s doing well,” the source said. “She seems very happy and content. She just focused on her family and rested for the first month after the baby arrived.”
The star was getting back into her active lifestyle, with the source revealing, “She’s slowly taking up yoga again now. She enjoys shorter outings with her older kids and Joaquim. Her older kids are helpful with the baby. Gisele tears up when she sees all the kids together—she still can’t believe she has a newborn. She feels very blessed.”
Bündchen has been largely off of social media during this time as well. On January 29, she shared her most recent Instagram post, writing, “Happiness is an inside job. Remember, you are the only one who has the power to create the life you want to live. 🙏”
