All About Gus Wenner, Elle Fanning’s Boyfriend

For the uninitiated, Elle Fanning was in a longtime relationship with The Handmaid’s Tale actor Max Minghella. The actress confirmed their split in an interview with Harper’s Bazaar in April 2023. Despite the breakup, Fanning revealed that it hasn’t changed her mindset on love.

“I’m a hopeless romantic. I believe in love at first sight. Call me crazy, but I believe in those things. I feel that it’s my destiny,” she said.

Fanning has since moved on from her previous relationship and is currently dating magazine executive Gus Wenner.

On November 6, Page Six released photos of the couple walking hand-in-hand after grabbing dinner with singer Lorde, Succession actress Annabelle Dexter-Jones, and Wenner’s brother Theo.

Fanning and Wenner’s most recent public appearance together was at the 2024 Golden Globe Awards.

The actress shared a shot of Wenner to her Instagram grid on Feb. 14, 2024. “My funny Valentine🏹💕🙈” she captioned the photo of him.

The couple was photographed out in New York City on March 26. They attended a screening of Fanning’s sister Dakota’s TV series Ripley at the Crosby Hotel. While they didn’t hold hands, they were captured side by side in photos at the venue.

That weekend, they were spotted taking a walk in Manhattan. Fanning wore a white lace maxi dress with a tan trench and black ballet flats. Wenner wore a blue long-sleeve top with gray jeans.

On the first Monday in May, The Great actress took her boyfriend with her to this year’s Met Gala, where the dress code was “The Garden of Time.” For the red carpet, Fanning wore an intricately sculpted, fitted gown by Balmain that looked like it was made out of glass. Wenner wore a classic black tux.

Fanning posted two photos with her boyfriend to celebrate his big day on August 10. “Happy Birthday angel🪽❤️‍🔥🌊,” she wrote.

Once again, Fanny celebrated Wenner’s birthday with more intimate photos of her life with her boyfriend, in which they’re enjoying the outdoors, sharing a kiss, and snuggling in bed.

On Tuesday, October 15, Fanning shared an Instagram Story of Wenner giving her a kiss on the cheek in Saint James’s Square in Barcelona.

In pink text, Fanning wrote, “Baby.”

They were photographed embracing at the Chelsea Hotel in New York while celebrating Fanning’s role in A Complete Unknown.

In 2017, Rolling Stone was sold to Penske Media Corporation, and Wenner was named president and chief operating officer. In 2021, he was promoted to CEO.

On top of being in the magazine business, Wenner is also an executive producer of a few documentaries. His most notable work is Supervillain: The Making of Tekashi 6ix9ine.

Wenner, who was born on Aug. 10, 1990, is a Leo. Fanning, born on April 9, 1998, is an Aries.
