Royal Family LIVE: Meghan Markle 'no longer on speaking terms' with best pal
Meghan Markle has had a number of publicised fallouts with people once close to her over the last few years, whether that be her dad, Prince Harry's royal relatives, or even some of her ex bestfriends. While details of some of these fractured relationships have previously been made public, this was never the case when it came to Meghan's fractured relationship with the former editor of British Vogue Edward Enninful, with the pair once considered to be close.
While Meghan, 43, once described them as "like-minded thinkers", it is believed they are no longer on speaking terms. The Mail on Sunday has revealed that this is because of a disagreement between the pair over how Vogue planned to feature Meghan and Prince Harry's charitable work.
According to The Mail on Sunday, the coverage of their charity work in 2022 was going to feature across the magazine and its digital editions. However, insiders claim Meghan wanted it to be on the cover and wanted the plan scrapped when she was told this would not be the case - leading to a disagreement which reportedly ended their friendship, with Enninful losing the whole project.
A source said: "The duchess and her team had high expectations and were expecting she might get a print cover or at least a digital cover out of it, but Enninful was not able to meet those expectations. He already had a magazine cover in the bag for that month.
"The whole process became very difficult. Edward could only promise her a big showy feature inside the magazine and online – but she turned it down."
