Royal expert on the one thing that causes Meghan Markle 'pain'

Meghan Markle may feel some regrets about the way things have turned out for herself and her family, a royal expert has shared. Meghan joined the Royal Family in 2018 but just two years later, she and Prince Harry dropped their royal titles and stepped back from their palace duties.
In New Magazine, Ingrid Seward says: “I imagine her absent father causes her pain because he reminds her of her previous life and she also probably feels some guilt about the way things have turned out. The whole world has been against her and Harry at times, and she is very aware of that. So, she wants to stand up for herself and block all that out.”

Meghan and her father, Thomas Markle, have been estranged since her royal wedding to Prince Harry.
This happened after he admitted staging paparazzi photos with a British tabloid. As a result, he did not attend the wedding in St George’s Chapel at Windsor Castle.
Meghan told Oprah Winfrey in March 2021: “I’ve lost my father.”
Meghan and her father were once close but their relationship has suffered as a result of Thomas’ cooperation with the media - which Meghan saw as a betrayal of her trust.
In March 2021, reflecting on the situation and on pulling out of his daughter’s wedding, he said: “I wish I hadn’t done the whole thing.”
In Harry & Meghan, a Netflix documentary by the couple, Prince Harry said he felt some of the blame for the fallout between Meghan and Thomas.

He said: “She had a father before this, and now she doesn’t have a father." He added: “If Meg wasn’t with me, then her dad would still be her dad.”
Meghan’s mother, Doria Ragland, is still heavily involved in her life. Doria and Thomas had Meghan in 1981 and eventually divorced in 1987 when Meghan was six years old.
According to Vanity Fair, the former couple met in California on the set of General Hospital, where Thomas was a lighting director and Ragland was temping as an assistant makeup artist.
