Meghan Markle slammed for ‘trashy move’ - ‘wants to coast off royals’

Meghan Markle could be seeking to reclaim her 'princess title' in what has been slammed as a "damning and trashy" move. Rumours that the Duchess of Sussex's four-day trip to Australia last month was a trial run for returning to the royal fold have abounded in recent days and weeks. Royal podcaster Mark Dolan suggested Meghan has "realised that her solo projects aren't working" and that her "amazing independent brand is not successful".
"My royal insiders are telling me that she's all out now to get back to the UK to reconnect with King Charles and to effectively be Princess Meghan again," he told the Daily Expresso podcast. Reacting to the news, TalkTV presenter Samara Gill criticised the duchess for her "trashy ploy" to regain public attention. "You haven't earned that, Meghan," she told Sky News Australia. "Just drop it. It's never going to be you."

Ms Gill also criticised Meghan's "secret" use of her royal titles in a reference to the controversial use of HRH on a personal gift card sent by the duchess in early 2025.
"She wants to continue to coast off the royal titles," she said. "I think that's been one of the most damning and heartbreaking things for the Royal Family to have to witness, her secretly using some of the titles.
"She's obsessed with the Royal Family, and she's obsessed with the cash grab that she can make off it."
It comes after reports that Prince Harry had left his family members "outraged" by dispatching a list of "demands" on behalf of his wife ahead of a major trip back to the UK this summer.
A source told Heatworld: "Harry is coming in with all these demands on behalf of Meghan, and it's rubbing a lot of people up the wrong way.
"Harry says he has no choice, based on how badly things have gone in the past. The last thing he wants is Meghan walking into a situation where she feels judged, and he says all he's asking is that she's treated with basic respect and not cast as the bad guy before anything's even happened."
Rumours of a return to royal duties for Harry and Meghan gained further momentum last month, when Harry rejected claims that he wasn't a "working royal" during a trip to Ukraine.
He told ITV that he would always be part of the Royal Family and sees himself continuing the work he was "born to do".
