Meghan Markle dubbed a ‘parody of herself’ as fans issue brutal verdict

Meghan Markle was mocked by fans for making a “parody of herself” after her latest launch for her lifestyle brand, As Ever. The Duchess of Sussex launched a new bundle in collaboration with a brand close to her heart on Tuesday.
Meghan’s new offering was a new, now-sold-out matcha set from Clevr Blends that includes As Ever’s strawberry spread and flower sprinkles. It cost £47 ($56). Clevr Blends is a vegan coffee brand that makes coffees packed with probiotics, superfoods and adaptogens. Meghan, who is an adviser and investor for the brand, appeared in a cameo for the company’s advertising campaign in 2023.

The company was founded in 2018 by Hannah Mendoza and Roger Coppola.
But fans were not impressed that Meghan did not release a new product and instead launched a bundle with products already available to purchase, and accused the Duchess of trying to sell remaining inventory.
One user blasted on X: “She’s like a parody of herself.” A second one added: “Yulk! I don't want any of these things, and especially not together.”
While a third person said: “She seems to be throwing everything out there to get rid of the excess products she has accumulated.”
A fourth user commented: “Is that it? Beyond embarrassing that she did business podcasts & interviews.”

A fifth one added: “Yes, you were spot on! It's so obvious. When a brand has not yet established trust, proven product-market fit, or earned organic demand, collaborations and partnerships suggest it needs to borrow credibility and or move inventory.
Announcing the latest collaboration on social media, Meghan said on an Instagram story: “I’ve proudly supported Hannah and @clevrblends for so many years now.
“Thrilled about this new collaboration with one of my favourite gals and two of my favourite brands.”
On Wednesday evening, Clevrblends announced that the product has sold out.
