Have your summer vacation plans started? Then pack your bags and set your course for the Greek islands! 🧳 In the 2025 summer season, both easy transportation from Turkey to the Greek islands and the visa on arrival advantage continue. Ferry services and visa fees have been finalized; now we are reviewing them all step by step!
According to İDO's 2025 schedule , round-trip ferry services from the Turkish coast to the Greek islands are as follows:
- Seferihisar – Samos : 40 Euros
- Kusadasi – Samos : 55 Euros
- Dikili – Lesvos : 45 Euros
Ferry services will operate many days a week throughout the summer. It is recommended that you buy your tickets in advance , especially during the high season of July and August.
The visa on arrival fee for crossing to the Greek islands has been determined as follows as of 2025:
- Adults : 85 Euros
- Children aged 0-18 : 20 Euros
Thanks to this visa, you can easily enter certain islands even if you do not have a Schengen visa. But be careful! This visa is only valid for a single entry and a maximum of 7 days (6 nights).
In 2025, visa on arrival will be available on the following 10 Greek islands :
- Rhodes
- Lesvos
- Lemnos
- Chios
- Samos
- Leros (Leros)
- Kalymnos (Kalymnos)
- Kos (Kos)
- Sömbeki (Symi)
- Meis (Kastellorizo)
👉 Note: The visa received upon arrival is only valid for the island you applied for. This means that you cannot travel to mainland Greece or other islands with this visa.
Greece has some special rules. Here are the things you should pay attention to:
- People with a Turkish Republic of Northern Cyprus stamp in their passports are prohibited from entering Greece.
- Visa applications from people who have previously been denied a Schengen visa will not be accepted.
- In case of missing ship, missing documents or rejection of the application by the Greek police , no refund will be made.
The Greek islands are a summer paradise with their short reach, calm bays, historical atmosphere and the famous flavors of the Aegean! Especially for those living in coastal areas such as Çeşme, Kuşadası or Ayvalık, it is possible to step into a completely different world with a few hours of travel.
There's no better time to cool off in the deep blue sea of Samos, taste seafood with ouzo in Lesbos, or get lost in the historical streets of Rhodes! 😍
✅ Buy your ferry tickets and hotel reservations early ✅ Check your passport's validity period ✅ Take the necessary documents with you for your visa ✅ Consider renewing your passport if it has a Northern Cyprus stamp
✅ Be careful not to exceed your return date
