Türkiye shines in team statistics of Women's European Basketball Championship

Türkiye, which made it to the quarter-finals of the 2025 FIBA ​​Women's European Basketball Championship, attracted attention with its success in team statistics in the group stage.

The group matches of the championship jointly organized by Germany, Czech Republic, Italy and Greece have ended.

The National Women's Basketball Team, which came in second in Group A with 2 wins and 1 loss and advanced to the quarter-finals, stood out with its success in statistics such as points, rebounds and shooting percentage in the tournament in which 16 countries competed.

Scoring 81 points per game in the group, the Crescent-Stars became the second team with the highest scoring average in the European Championship.

France, which advanced to the quarter-finals as the leader of the national team's group, ranked first in this field with 91.3 points per game.

Spain, another quarter-finalist of the tournament, placed third with 80.7 points per game.

Türkiye stood out as the team with the most rebounds per game in the group stage with an average of 45.7.

Belgium and Czech Republic followed with an average rebound of 44.7 and 42.7, respectively.

The Crescent-Stars were the team with the most defensive rebounds (100) in the tournament and also became the third team with the most offensive rebounds (37).

The National Team managed to become the team with the highest shooting percentage in the group stage.

Türkiye, which attempted 174 shots in the three matches of the championship and hit the ball 84 times, came in first with a rate of 48.3 percent.

France came in second with 47.7 percent shooting in the tournament, and Belgium came in third with 46.7 percent shooting.

Türkiye attracted attention as the country with the second best percentage in three-point shooting.

In this statistic, France ranked in the top 3 with 43.2 percent, Türkiye with 41 percent and Slovenia with 37.1 percent.

The national team ranked 5th in two-point shots with a rate of 52.2 percent.

National basketball players Teaira McCowan and Tilbe Şenyürek stood out in individual statistics.

McCowan, who left his opponents behind in this area by playing 13.7 rebounds per game in the group stage, managed to become the basketball player who collected the most rebounds (41), the most defensive rebounds (29) and the most offensive rebounds (13).

McCowan also became the player with the most double-doubles in the tournament with three.
