Selçuk İnan: Fenerbahçe is in for a tough away game

Kocaelispor lost 3-1 away to Fenerbahçe in the third week of the Süper Lig. Kocaelispor manager Selçuk İnan made a statement at the post-match press conference. Commenting on the match, İnan said, "It was a tough game. Fenerbahçe is a tough away team. When you're behind early, it's hard to execute your planned play. We experienced that and even managed to equalize. The game went our way. Fenerbahçe is physically strong, not just their own players. They won every ball when it was in the air. We've been working on this all week, but unfortunately, we conceded two headers. This ruined our game. Our players, despite being a new team, tried to play together. It was a difficult period. Two new players arrived, but they couldn't train. It was difficult to establish a lead against Fenerbahçe. We could still have gotten a point. For us, this match ended here."
Commenting on the performance of their new signing, İnan said, "Carole said she wasn't ready and didn't want to play. We need to listen to her. I know her performance. I wish we had started her, but starting her was a dangerous situation. I'm glad she showed some of her talent in a match like this."
'KOCAELI IS A VERY STRONG COMMUNITY'
Selçuk İnan, who said he did not want to talk about the referee, used the following expressions:
"I feel exhausted talking about referees. But I have to say this: Whoever is firing these referees is a very powerful community in Kocaeli. This doesn't make them any better officiating, but they're upsetting a lot of people. We're a new team. We were promoted to the Süper Lig last year. We have a tough schedule. We've talked about this before, but my players know each other. The Kayserispor match is one we must win, no matter what. Hopefully, we'll win with the right play."
'FENERBAHÇE IS PHYSICALLY STRONG'
İnan, stating that they need to fight harder, said, "As I said, we're changing our stance. We're working very hard. I can honestly say our players are very upset. Fenerbahçe is physically strong. All three teams we played were difficult to dominate defensively and offensively. We need to fight harder. We'll work and fix it."
