İDO has expanded its targets in the Aegean and Mediterranean

Having launched passenger services to the Aegean Islands last year, İDO began carrying passengers to Samos and Leros . This year, it expanded its service network, launching flights from Dikili in Izmir to Lesbos , from Fethiye in Rhodes , and from Taşucu in Mersin to Kyrenia in Northern Cyprus . İDO General Manager Dr. Murat Orhan , who has significantly contributed to the implementation of İDO 's innovative vision and successful projects, met with members of the press last week to discuss their work and goals.
Orhan stated that the holiday and cultural tourism-focused trips launched last year were met with great interest, and that new routes and arrangements were made in response to demand. He stated that with their robust fleet, they carried over 30 million passengers and over 12 million vehicles in the Marmara Region by 2024. He also noted that last year, they served a total of 155,000 domestic and international passengers on the Aegean Islands. Announcing their goal of carrying over 300,000 passengers with the new routes on the Aegean Islands this year, Orhan emphasized that they had allocated seven sea buses for these trips and that all sea buses were fully prepared for international trips. He also noted that all necessary safety precautions were taken on the sea buses, which are inspected at regular intervals. He added that the sea buses offer not only a comfortable but also a safe travel experience. Orhan explained that they operate with sea buses that have a capacity of 450 passengers at a time and defined customer satisfaction as their primary goal.
Investments, Social Responsibility, Culture and Arts, Sports

Continuing his explanations about their new services and projects, Orhan stated that as part of the "Leave a Mark with a Lid Project," aimed at making life easier for individuals with disabilities, they are providing wheelchairs for individuals with spinal cord paralysis in partnership with Ekvator Energy and TOFD, aiming to provide equal opportunities in transportation and help individuals with disabilities more easily adapt to social life. He stated that important steps have been taken, such as the free "Consultation" service offered at all terminals to help visually impaired individuals move more independently, and that these initiatives reflect İDO's understanding of social responsibility. Orhan also noted the numerous initiatives and collaborations they have undertaken to keep the seas clean, and also explained İDO's İDOSTUM project, which is being implemented not only for humans but also for friendly animals.
