Horrific incident in Istanbul! Baby's body found in garbage

Beşiktaş Municipality personnel, who were cleaning Ortaköy Çevirmeci Street in Istanbul's Beşiktaş district in the morning hours, saw the body of a baby left on the edge of a garbage container.

Upon notification by cleaning personnel, police and medical teams were dispatched to the area.

It was understood that the baby, who was seen to have burns and cuts on his body, was a newborn and his umbilical cord had been cut, but his gender could not be determined.

The police's investigation into the incident continues.
