Hidayet Türkoğlu: "The thing that gives us the greatest strength is the support of our nation."

The Turkish National Basketball Team defeated Serbia 95-90 in the 5th and final match of Group A of the 2025 European Basketball Championship (EuroBasket 2025), making it 5 out of 5.

The national team, which finished first in its group, will face Sweden in the last 16 round on Saturday, September 6.

TBF President Türkoğlu spoke to an Anadolu Agency (AA) reporter about the Crescent-Star team's first official victory over Serbia since the 2010 World Championship and their advancement to the Round of 16 as group leaders.

Hidayet Türkoğlu expressed his pride in all the players, saying, "The value of this victory is far greater than simply remaining undefeated in the group. This success we achieved against Serbia will hold a special place in the future of Turkish basketball thanks to our players' belief, sense of unity, and determination on the court, as well as the contributions of our coach and technical staff. I wholeheartedly congratulate each and every one of our players. I thank them all for the excitement and pride this victory has brought us."
