Flash decision from TFF regarding jerseys: 12-year rule is changing

The Turkish Football Federation is preparing to change its jersey fonts in response to popular demand from football fans. The long-used and mandatory Arial font will be replaced with a different font for the new season.

A campaign launched on social media over the summer, using the hashtags "#ArialOut" and "#WeDon'tWantArialFont," gave a voice to football fans. Fans had demanded a change, arguing that the Arial font was unsightly and inconsistent with the teams' identity.

According to a report by Umut Eken of Fanatik Newspaper, TFF General Secretary Abdullah Ayaz has reportedly brought the issue to the federation's attention, taking into account the social media backlash. According to reports, the official decision to remove the Arial font will be made at next week's board meeting.

A different font will be used for the back numbers of the Süper Lig and First League jerseys in the new season. The TFF will announce that the relevant regulations will be updated, and clubs will be able to adapt their new season designs accordingly.
