Fenerbahçe manager's statement on the coach: I think he will be a foreigner

Fenerbahçe Vice President Hamdi Akın made statements about who will be Fenerbahçe's new coach.

Speaking to CNBC-e, Hamdi Akın said, "We have doubts about whether the new coach will be Turkish or foreign. I think it will be foreign... They will announce it today or tomorrow at the latest!"

Speaking about the astronomical transfer fees and player salaries of football teams, Akın said:

This economy has grown in Türkiye. It has grown thanks to Galatasaray and Fenerbahçe. Galatasaray is our eternal friend and arch-rival. Galatasaray's €75 million transfer fee and €25 million salary payment caused quite a sensation. These have raised the bar. Whether we like it or not, we have to compete with the club we compete with. There's no going back on these budgets. From now on, it's very difficult.
