Worker lost his sight after a nail got stuck in his eye

The incident occurred at a furniture factory operating in Bursa's İnegöl Furniture Specialized Organized Industrial Zone. 24-year-old İslam O. was nailing fabric to furniture with a nail gun when a nail, which struck the wood, allegedly flew out and lodged itself in his right eye. He was transported to İnegöl State Hospital by private vehicle, where he received first aid and was determined to have lost his vision. He was then transferred to a private eye hospital in Bursa to have the nail removed.

The gendarmerie launched an investigation into the incident.
