WestJet Extends Codeshare Agreement with Air France and KLM

Canadian airline WestJet has announced that it has expanded its codeshare agreement with Air France and KLM in order to increase its reach in the European market. According to the statement, passengers departing from Canada will be able to reach 59 European destinations this summer season with a single reservation and seamless baggage transfer via Paris Charles de Gaulle or Amsterdam Schiphol airports.

New Connections for Halifax and St. John's Travelers

Passengers departing from Halifax and St. John's in particular will be able to access many destinations in France, Italy and Portugal via the KLM network with WestJet's Amsterdam flight. This connection offers significant convenience and variety when travelling from Atlantic Canada to Europe.

New Doors Opening to Eastern Europe with Air France

WestJet passengers will also have access to cities in Eastern Europe such as Bucharest, Budapest and Prague via Air France flights from Calgary, Halifax and St. John's via Paris, making travel from Western Canada to Eastern Europe more accessible.

The new codeshare expansion is part of WestJet’s strategy to become a more integrated carrier on a global scale, while providing more flexible, comprehensive and practical travel options for passengers.
