The Diyanet's Friday sermon also entered the Menzil inheritance dispute

The inheritance dispute between the brothers in the Menzil community continues. Mubarak and Fattah Elhüseyni maintain that the community's assets are subject to inheritance. The two emphasize this in their defenses in the inheritance lawsuits, emphasizing their identities as "businessmen" and the buildings' "business" status over their title as "sheikh."
According to a report by Aytunç Ürkmez in Cumhuriyet, the elder brother, Saki Elhüseyni, considered the current leader of the community, unlike his brothers, is developing defenses based on religion. Saki Elhüseyni maintains that community assets are "the property of the ummah," and his supporters present similar arguments in court. Saki and his supporters emphasize the "dergah" status of the community buildings, claiming in court cases that they are "places of worship" and "places of guidance." To bolster his religiously framed defense against his brothers' stance, Saki has also begun using the Directorate of Religious Affairs' Friday sermons.
The sermon that drew criticism was cited as a source
The social media account "Ahlat Otağı" (Ahlat Otağı), which published Saki's statements and explanations, cited as its source the sermon on inheritance delivered by the Directorate of Religious Affairs to congregational prayer centers on August 15th. The Friday sermon, titled "The rights of others are a shirt of fire," included the following statement: "Changing the measure of inheritance established by our Almighty Lord without mutual consent is contrary to divine justice. A person's deprivation of their daughters of their inheritance, and their dissatisfaction with the rights ordained by God, constitutes a violation of other people's rights."
'THEY WOULD NOT GIVE MY SISTERS AN INHERITANCE'
Referring to these statements, the social media account in question announced, “His Holiness the Saki made some statements regarding the inheritance irregularities that occurred in Menzil Village following the passing of their beloved father, His Holiness Gavsi Sani (Abdulbaki Erol). Following this announcement, Saki was reported to have made the following statement on the matter: “They weren’t going to give my sisters inheritance lands, but I resisted. They are using my inheritance rights without my consent, and I don’t forgive them. My siblings didn’t even give us the lands we drew lots for, which is unlawful (according to Islamic law).”
'HE HAD A VILLA BUILT FOR 400-500 TL'
Saki's statements also included a noteworthy claim. In his statements, Saki claimed that his brother, Mubarak Al-Husayni, had a villa built for 400-500 million Turkish Lira after the death of their father, Abdulbaki Al-Husayni (Erol). Regarding this claim, Saki was quoted as saying, "If he built it with donations (collected from supporters), it wasn't his; it belonged to the community of Muhammad. If he built it without my permission with money that was my father's inheritance, to which I am also entitled, then that is also haram. While I suffer this poverty, Mubarak will spend 400-500 million Turkish Lira on a villa! How can that be?"
