The best games of the first half of 2025 have been determined
2025, which started as a good year for the gaming world, has already hosted some very popular games, with half of it already over. Metacritic editors listed the most popular games between January 1 and June 30 of this year.
Accordingly, Clair Obscur: Expedition 33 is at the top of the list. The game managed to reach a record number of players on the day it was released and then in its first week. According to the evaluation made out of 100, the game received 93 points.
BEST GAMES OF 2025The list includes 16 games that received a score of 85 or higher out of 100. The second most popular game is Blue Prince, which received a score of 92. The game was loved by gamers for its puzzle-focused structure.
In third place is Split Fiction, the most popular two-player game of the year with 91 points. Death Stranding 2: On the Beach is in the first place with 90 points, Despelote with 89 points, The Talos Principle: Reawakened with 89 points, Monster Hunter Wilds with 88 points and Kingdom Come: Deliverance II with 88 points.
