Request to block access to Ekrem İmamoğlu's international account

A decision was made to block access to the international X account of CHP presidential candidate Ekrem İmamoğlu, who is being held in the Marmara Prison in Silivri. According to Engelli Web, the reason for the decision was given as the "protection of national security and public order" law article.

The decision was also communicated to internet service providers. While it is not known which court made the decision, the X platform has not yet made the account with 345 thousand followers invisible from Türkiye.

After İmamoğlu's main account was blocked, CHP Chairman Özgür Özel announced in a statement that İmamoğlu would use the international account as his main account.

Özel had called on citizens to follow the international account.
