New duty for Hakan Balta in the National Team

Having left his position as Galatasaray U19 Technical Director, Hakan Balta has been appointed as assistant coach in the National Team. Hakan Balta will be on the technical team as the assistant of National Football Team Technical Director Vincenzo Montella.
WHO IS HAKAN BALTA?
He was born in Berlin, the capital of Germany, on March 23, 1983. After playing for CSV 97, SC Siemensstadt, Reinickendorfer Füchse and Hertha Berlin, he was transferred to Vestel Manisaspor in 2003. He played for this club for 4 years and was on the team that was promoted to the Super League in the 2004/05 season. The former A National football player, who played for Galatasaray for 11 years, to which he was transferred in 2007, won 5 Super League, 3 Turkish Cup and 5 TFF Super Cup championships with this team.
Hakan Balta, who played his first match with the National Team on April 12, 2006 in a special match against Azerbaijan, wore the Crescent-Star jersey 50 times in total. Balta, who played in all the matches of our National Team, which became legendary by reaching the semi-finals in the 2008 European Championship, also gained EURO 2016 experience with our National Team.
After playing over 300 matches in the Super League, Hakan Balta ended his active playing career in 2018. After receiving football management and coaching training abroad, he worked as the assistant administrative director at the football branch of Galatasaray Sports Club for two years starting in 2020. Balta, who has a UEFA Pro License diploma, has been working as the U19 Team Technical Director at the Galatasaray Football Academy since 2022.
