New artificial intelligence feature from TikTok! Officially announced

TikTok , one of the most popular social media applications in our country, announced that the company has launched the feature of creating videos with artificial intelligence from the first image. The new feature is called "TikTok AI Alive". So what is this TikTok AI Alive?

In short, we can summarize it as a feature that allows users to turn their statically uploaded photos into videos within TikTok Stories. TikTok says the feature is only accessible through TikTok's Story Camera and that it uses artificial intelligence to create short-form videos that include "motion, atmospheric, and creative effects."

For example, if your uploaded still photo has sky, clouds and sea, the application will be able to animate the entire background accordingly. For example, you will be able to see a video where the sky slowly changes tone, the clouds start drifting and you can hear the crashing sound of waves in the sea. Similarly, natural ambient sounds can be added in forest areas or if you took a group photo, you will be able to see that everyone is depicted with similar expressions (like laughing).

The new AI features were actually announced much earlier. However, over the long period of time, TikTok has only recently started to integrate these features into the app. While both Instagram and Snapchat offer AI features for creators, from text to images, TikTok has now gone a step further by offering its users the ability to create videos from images. Let’s also remind you that Snapchat has announced that it will soon allow creators to create AI videos from images.

To help prevent people from creating content that violates our policies, our moderation technology will review the uploaded photo and written AI creation prompt, as well as the AI ​​Alive video, before it is shown to the creator,” TikTok said in a blog post.

AI Alive stories will feature an AI-generated label to let users know that the content was created with AI. It will also feature C2PA metadata, a technical standard that helps others identify that the video was created with AI, even if it’s downloaded and shared beyond TikTok.
