Giant Dust Cloud Hits Arizona: Flights Delayed, Power Outages

The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) temporarily suspended flights at Phoenix Sky Harbor Airport due to the thunderstorm around 5:30 PM. The ban was lifted approximately 30 minutes later, but flight delays continued.

According to a statement on the airport's official website, as of 8:00 PM, three flights were canceled, 104 were delayed, and one flight was rerouted. The average delay was recorded as 15 minutes.

The sandstorm reportedly caused power outages across the city, affecting traffic and daily life. Authorities warned residents to be cautious of the adverse weather conditions.
