AKP Spokesperson Ömer Çelik spoke to members of the press in Ankara's Kızılcahamam district. Discussing the process they've developed to name Türkiye "Terror-Free," Çelik said the following:

"All branches of the PKK must lay down their arms and disappear. The importance of cooperation among all sectarian groups in the region is also appreciated by our close circle. Iraqi authorities have shown great interest.

We will hold our meeting under the chairmanship of our President in the afternoon.

Some don't want terrorism to end; they fear they'll lose their jobs. There's also an approach that uses the phrase "End Terrorism" as a headline and condemns every process as treason, leading matters to a dead end. The framework of our President's speech is the Terror-Free Türkiye process.

"Parliament will step in with the Terrorism-Free Türkiye Commission. The commission will be established within days."
