Erkan Baş announced on TELE1! Criminal complaint from TİP about ministers and GDZ Elektrik

Turkish Workers' Party (TİP) Chairman Erkan Baş was the guest of Evren Özalkuş on TELE 1.

Making evaluations about the agenda in the program, Baş described the photo of citizens trying to stop the flames with demijohns as a "frame of shame."

Baş also announced that they filed a criminal complaint with the Izmir Public Prosecutor's Office against the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, and the officials of the Gediz Electricity Distribution Company due to the forest fires.

Highlights from Baş’s statements are as follows:

"There have been various disasters in Türkiye and we have warned the government in each one. We said let this be the last one, let this be the last one. Because it is clear what needs to be done. What are we discussing? We have been discussing firefighting planes for days, haven't we? On the other hand, you see that the palace planes are there and each time they increase. In other words, in every fire, we ask why this country does not have firefighting planes. Then this is forgotten, it is made to be forgotten. In the next fire, we look. Oh, the number of palace planes has increased but the need for firefighting planes in the country has not been met. Therefore, I sincerely feel this way. In other words, there is a government mentality that has descended on this country and is plundering everything that this country has, its assets and everything it has."

"WE FILED A CRIMINAL COMPLAINT"

"When it comes to their own needs, they don't face any difficulties. These economic crises, difficulties, poverty, oh, the troubles the country is experiencing never come to the agenda. But on the other hand, the country is literally burning at the heart of the matter right now. Today, we filed a criminal complaint with the Izmir Republic Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. Our lawyer friends got it done before the end of the working day today about the Minister of Agriculture and Forestry, the Minister of Energy and Natural Resources, the officials of the Gediz Electricity Distribution Company and the people to be determined by the Prosecutor's Office ex officio."

"HERE IS THE PHOTO OF SHAME"

"Turkey's century. That photo is a shameful photo. Look here. Citizens are trying to put out a fire with their bare hands, with their bare hands. They also filled them with water. Try to continue the fire with that. This photo is a photo of someone. In other words, a data has descended on this country. All the possibilities, all the possibilities are in their monopoly. But on the other side, the citizens are the real owners of this country, look, it is very clear. The poor people and children of this country are trying to take ownership of their country as well. This is the picture. On one side, there are those who oppress, exploit, impoverish this country, those who add to their wealth, a mentality that evaluates everything in the country in dollars and tries to make money from it. On the other side, we, the poor working people of this country, we are trying to take ownership of our country, to rebuild it as a livable place for ourselves, and this is really the picture."

HOW DOES TİP VIEW THE ESTABLISHMENT OF A COMMISSION IN THE TBMM?

"I am now saying this as the chairman of the Turkish Workers' Party. We are a political party that said there was a Kurdish problem in Türkiye in 1965. That is why our party was closed down after the March 12 coup in 1971, after the memorandum. This country needs peace. This country needs democracy. This country needs freedom for everyone. This oppressive authoritarian mentality needs to change.

To do everything that every political party says in front of the public, in a way that citizens can follow, monitor and no one will talk about their guts, whatever their demand, suggestion, solution, objection, criticism, whatever, all of it in front of the public. This is very important. A transparent process. I feel the need to open a parenthesis here. Of course, we have been saying this from the beginning. Then Devlet Bahçeli made a statement. He said that it would be good to establish such a commission. Let the commission be established. But it won't be like that. In other words, a commission won't be established for friends to see while shopping. In other words, don't you think there is a question mark there now, a commission of 100 people? Of course there is. For example, the parliament cannot be a commission of 100 people with 600 people. I am saying it very clearly, my son. This is watering down the issue. For example, it is very important for all political parties in the parliament to be represented. Whether they have a group or not. I think that the representation of all political parties is one of the most important topics."

"THE MAJORITY WILL BE FORMED BY AKP-MHP"

"Now, when you increase the number there to 100, let's say that when parties like us give one representative each, the remaining large majority will be formed by the AKP and MHP. Worse, they will make the balance in their favor and make everyone else there a figure on the table. For example, we object to this.
