Arrest of 'Nureddin Yıldız' to Boğaziçi students

The invitation of the reactionary Nureddin Yıldız, who said '6-year-old children can be married', to an event organized by the Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club (BİSAK), was protested by students.

One of the students who opposed his speech protested Yıldız by throwing eggs. The police intervened against the students who were protesting Yıldız's invitation to speak at their university.

97 people were detained. 82 of those detained were released by the police, while 15 were referred to the courthouse with a request for arrest. 4 of the 15 people were arrested and 4 were released on judicial probation.

The testimony of 7 people for whom an arrest request has been made is ongoing.
