An important call from Mansur Yavaş to all opposition parties

The hearing of the case regarding the congress where CHP Leader Özgür Özel was elected as the party chairman for the first time was held today. The hearing of the case, which also discussed the claim that the congress would be annulled with absolute nullity and the party chairmanship would be returned to Kemal Kılıçdaroğlu, was postponed to September 8.

The fact that the congress hearing was not rejected outright but postponed and kept on the agenda drew the reaction of the CHP and the opposition. Another reaction to the court's postponement decision came from ABB President Mansur Yavaş. Yavaş, who made a written statement on the subject, stated that the case should have been rejected from the very beginning.

Mansur Yavaş said the following in his statement:

In the lawsuit filed against our congress, the hearing was postponed to September 8, pending the appeal process against the court's decision of lack of jurisdiction. However, we argue that this lawsuit should have been rejected from the very beginning.

Because the internal functioning of political parties is secured by clear provisions of the Constitution and the Political Parties Law. The supervision of the Supreme Court of Appeals Chief Public Prosecutor's Office and ultimately the authority of the Supreme Election Board are undisputed.

Efforts to make this process controversial through the judiciary can have no legal or political basis. These cases, which undermine the sense of justice, can never be allowed to conceal the real problems of our citizens.

There is no doubt that this country needs a new government that will solve both the worsening economic crisis and the decay in the justice system.

However, these deep problems are not only our party's but also the common concern of the entire opposition and the people. Because this order targets not only us, but also everyone who defends rights, law and bread.

Therefore, the entire opposition has no choice or solution other than being united. We have the power to overcome all kinds of difficulties by standing shoulder to shoulder.
