All 761 Fires in Türkiye Have Been Brought Under Control

The Directorate of Communications announced that all 761 fires that broke out across the country in the last 10 days have been extinguished. The statement said that 25 percent of the forest fires that have occurred since the beginning of 2024 occurred in the last 10 days alone.

According to the data, a total of 3,181 fires broke out throughout Turkey throughout the year. 1,351 of these fires occurred in forest areas and 1,830 in non-forest areas. The fires were fought with 27 firefighting planes, 105 helicopters, 6,000 land vehicles and 25,000 personnel.

Authorities emphasized that the equipment and personnel capacity used in fighting the fires were put into effect effectively and that all fires were brought under control thanks to rapid intervention.
