3 arrests during CHP's trustee watch!

Fourteen of the citizens who resisted the court-appointed trustee to the CHP Istanbul Provincial Headquarters were detained. Nine of those detained were referred to the courthouse. Three of the citizens who appeared in court were arrested, and two were referred to the court on probation. Four were released on probation. There are detention orders against 10 people. The prosecutor's office cited the Istanbul Governor's Office's ban on meetings and demonstrations as the reason.
The following statements were made by the prosecutor's office:
As a result of the studies carried out by the Istanbul Governorship regarding the social media accounts that invited people to take to the streets and commit crimes by making provocative posts on social media sites related to the illegal protests that took place in front of the CHP Istanbul Provincial Directorate building on 08.09.2025 against the ban on meetings and demonstrations taken in accordance with Articles 17 and 19 of the Law on Meetings and Demonstrations:
In this regard, an investigation was launched against (24) individuals for the crime of "Incitement to Commit a Crime" pursuant to Article 214 of the Turkish Penal Code by identifying the users of (24) social media accounts. During the investigation, (14) individuals were apprehended and their statements were taken as suspects. Following the statements of (9) individuals, they were detained and instructed to be present at the Chief Public Prosecutor's Office. On September 9, 2025, (7) of the suspects present were referred to the Criminal Court of Peace with a request for arrest, and (2) with a request for judicial control. It was decided that (3) suspects would be arrested, and the other suspects would be released on probation. The investigation is being carried out meticulously, and efforts are ongoing to apprehend (10) fugitive suspects.
