The brand new luxury yacht, delivered to its owner, sank 15 minutes later.

The incident occurred around 2:30 p.m. off the coast of the Ereğli district. The luxury yacht, DT, which was completed in about five months and delivered to its owner from Istanbul, listed onto its side and sank about 200 meters offshore 15 minutes after being launched from the shipyard.

The yacht's owner, two crew members, and the captain swam to shore. Initial reports suggest the yacht sank due to an engineering error. The incident was recorded on a cell phone camera. An investigation is ongoing.
