-IS THE NATION PARTY (MP), FOUNDED BY MARSHAL FEVZİ ÇAKMAK AND HIS FRIENDS ON JULY 20, 1948, THE LEGAL FATHER OF THE NATIONALIST MOVEMENT PARTY (MHP)?
Having completed his primary school education in Kırşehir, his secondary school education in Kayseri High School, and his high school education in Istanbul Boys High School, the famous orator and politician Osman Bölükbaşı enrolled in the Engineering School (ITU) in 1933.
Among his classmates we can count Sezai Türkeş and Feyzi Akkaya (STFA).
While he was only a first-year student at ITU for a few months, he passed the international state scholarship exam opened by the Ministry of National Education and went from Istanbul to Marseille by ship with 150 other students.
He studied French for a while at Bordeaux Victor Hugo High School.
In 1937, he graduated from the Department of Mathematics and Astronomy of the Institute of Mathematics and Physics (Faculty of Science) at the University of Nancy in France with a degree in Mathematics and Astronomy.
He returned to his homeland in 1938 and worked as an assistant to the famous Fatin Gökmen Hoca, the director of the Kandilli Observatory.
She worked as a mathematics teacher at Haydarpaşa and Çamlıca Girls' High Schools.
He completed his military service for 3 years at Polatlı Artillery and Missile School.
He gave higher mathematics lessons to artillery officers.
He was a math teacher who was talented enough to teach math to a camel.
After he was 80 years old, he learned modern mathematics and made sure his grandson entered the Technical University.
He wanted to enter Istanbul University's Faculty of Science as a Mathematics Assistant, but the university administration preferred the son of a CHP member of parliament.
He resigned from the civil service and returned to his father, Hacı Ahmet Bölükbaşı, who was engaged in farming.
Meanwhile, during the founding of the Democrat Party, his former teacher, Fatin Gökmen, said to Professor Fuat Köprülü: "I had a very talented assistant named Osman Bölükbaşı. He resigned and returned to his father in his village because they wouldn't hire assistants for the Faculty of Science. He's very eloquent. He could be useful to your party."
Fuat Köprülü sends a message to Bölükbaşı through Dr. Mehmet Altay Köymen, who is on duty at DTCF.
DP Chairman Celal Bayar was very impressed by Bölükbaşı and complimented him saying, “You are not a Bölükbaşı, you are a Regimental Leader!” and thus entered politics in the ranks of the DP.
In the early general parliamentary elections held in 1946, Bölükbaşı became the DP’s Yozgat Deputy Candidate and despite receiving 90,000 votes, he was sent to Sorgun Prison because of the open vote counting fraud.
Bölükbaşı made heavy attacks on National Chief İnönü at the 1st ordinary congress of the DP in 1947.
The President is heavily accusing National Chief and CHP Chairman İsmet İnönü by calling him the “CROWNLESS AND THRONELESS RED SULTAN.”
In the 1940s and 1950s, a Constitutional Court had not yet been established in Türkiye.
Political parties are subject to the Law on Associations.
Because of Bölükbaşı, DP could be shut down by a local court at any time.
Bölükbaşı resigns because he thinks that the DP is a collusive party.
Bölükbaşı founded the Nation Party together with Marshal Fevzi Çakmak and his friends on July 20, 1948.
Is the Nation Party the legal father of today's MHP?
While Bölükbaşı was serving time in Ulucanlar Prison in 1957, his family moved to the Israeli Houses in the Emek Neighborhood.
Why are they called Houses of Israel?
Because the cooperative that wanted to make MPs homeowners had the construction done by an Israeli company.
In 1969, Bölükbaşı began using his residence in the Israeli Houses as his private office and archive.
After the military memorandum of March 12, 1971, Prime Minister Demirel resigned. There is martial law and military rule in the country.
They enter the private office and archive of the Chief of the Military Squadron and seize some important documents.
They throw military cigarettes on the ground to intimidate the Division Leader.
Enraged by this situation, Bölükbaşı grabs the matchbox and sets his important documents and archives on fire, shouting, “OH ARCHIVE! YOU BURNED ME, AND I AM BURNING YOU TOO!”
