Minister Yerlikaya: We will reach the goal of a 'Türkiye without Terror' by tearing down the wall of terror

Minister of the Interior Ali Yerlikaya attended the 13th Term 1st Extended Presidents and Members Meetings event organized by the Anatolian Lions Businessmen Association (ASKON) in Istanbul. The program, which was held in a hotel in Bakırköy, was attended by Yerlikaya, Istanbul Governor Davut Gül, ASKON General President Orhan Aydın, ASKON board members, branch presidents from different cities and many guests.

'BEING STRONG IS POSSIBLE WITH MORALITY AND JUSTICE'

Speaking at the program, Interior Minister Ali Yerlikaya said, “We have many examples where trade serves social development rather than individual wealth. Hilf'ül-Fudul is a union that our Prophet joined at a young age and was established for justice against injustice. Ahi morality is an organization that makes the essence of business and places modesty, fairness and sharing in trade. This ancient heritage shows us that being rich is not enough to be powerful; being powerful is possible by being moral and fair. Power alone does not bring wealth or reputation. Power must be raised on the basis of justice, morality and solidarity.”

'WE CAN STAND AGAINST THE CHALLENGES OF THIS AGE BY STANDING SHOULDER TO SHOULDER'

Minister Yerlikaya stated that global financial networks and production chains necessitate a new understanding of cooperation. Yerlikaya said, “Today, financial networks, production chains and strategic partnerships established on a global scale impose on us the obligation to act with more cooperation and a more common vision. Because we can only stand against the challenges of this age by standing shoulder to shoulder.”

'Türkiye IS NOW A GLOBAL PLAYMAKER'

Minister Yerlikaya, who stated that the vision of the Century of Turkey put forward by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan aims to build a stronger country in every field, continued his words as follows: “The vision of the Century of Turkey put forward by our President aims to build a more just, stronger and more resilient Turkey in every field from economy to security, from technology to social justice. Turkey has transformed from a regional actor to a global playmaker in the last quarter century. Therefore, what falls to us is to develop ourselves economically, technologically and in terms of human resources, and to have a say in this global race. Thus, we are to take on the responsibility of being the voice of oppressed geographies more strongly.”

Referring to the security policies implemented by the Ministry of Interior, Yerlikaya said, “God willing, under the leadership of our President, we will realize our ideal of a great and powerful Turkey by joining hands and make this century the century of Türkiye. Our country’s state tradition, young population, strategic location, and solid civilization accumulation filtered through history give us this confidence more than enough. We also have responsibilities on this path. As the Ministry of Interior, we work day and night to ensure the perpetual peace of our nation, to mold our cities with security, and to fight against all criminal centers that threaten the future of our children. God willing, we will reach the goal of a ‘Turkey Without Terror’ by tearing down the wall of terror that has been built between our thousand-year-old brotherhood because we know that there is no peace, there is no trade, no investment, and no development.”

'WHERE THERE IS NO PEACE, THERE IS NO DEVELOPMENT'

Minister Yerlikaya, who emphasized that economic growth and an environment of trust should progress together, said, “Because we know that where there is no peace, there is no trade, no investment, no development. We want our business world to become more productive in an environment of security and stability and to grow our country. Therefore, it is our first duty to protect and develop the climate of trust, which is our common responsibility.”

'BLOW UP ON TOP OF BLOW AGAINST ORGANIZED CRIMINAL ORGANIZATIONS'

Sharing up-to-date data on the fight against organized crime, Yerlikaya said, “Thank God, as a result of our determined struggle, the dens of organized crime structures have been entered one by one, and blow after blow has been dealt to drug dealers and criminal centers. Our aim is not only to fight crime, but also to ensure that peace and security are sustainable all around Türkiye. We believe that this nation will continue to be the pioneer of goodness and the representative of justice, as it has been throughout history.”
