Bilal Erdoğan: We need the Turkish world to be surrounded by dynamics that can draw strength from each other

The opening of the ‘Turkic World Summer School’ program, which is being held for the second time this year at Ibn Haldun University, was held with the participation of Bilal Erdoğan, Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University. The opening program, which was held at the university’s Başakşehir campus, was attended by Erdoğan, Deputy Secretary General of the Organization of Turkic States Sadi Jafarov, President of the Turkish Investment Fund Baghdad Amrayev, TURKPA Secretary General Ramil Hasan, President of Turks Abroad and Related Communities Abdullah Eren, Deputy Director General for the Caucasus of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Ayşe Uzer, and Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan, academicians, and students. It was learned that the summer school program, which will be held for the second time at the Haydar Aliyev Center for Eurasian Studies from June 23-27, is being supported by Ibn Haldun University, the Organization of Turkic States, TIKA, YTB, and universities from the Turkic World. It was stated that in the summer school, where more than a thousand students from 28 different countries applied, developments in the Eurasian geography, regional organizations, basic issues of the Turkish world and the potential for solution and cooperation will be evaluated from a scientific perspective and studies will be carried out on how academic contribution can be provided.
'OUR PROGRAMS ARE A PART OF THE 2040 VISION OF THE ORGANIZATION OF TURKIC STATES'Deputy Chairman of the Board of Trustees of Ibn Haldun University, Bilal Erdoğan, said, "We really care about our Turkish World Research Center and as a university, we think that research centers will become more and more important in the structuring of the university. We also wish that our center, which is becoming stronger every year, will include economists, engineers working on energy, and environmental engineers in addition to international relations and political science experts. The Organization of Turkic States has a 2040 vision and there are many topics under this 2040 vision that concern the entire Turkish world. These topics are not limited to international relations or energy security. Transportation, economy, political unity, sociology, issues that concern the entire public opinion and the entire society are part of this vision. Therefore, as a university, we want to provide strong support to studies in this field. The graduate program we plan to carry out in 4 countries is actually a reflection of this vision."
Erdoğan said, “Think of a master’s program in the Turkish world; one term will be held in Türkiye, one term in Azerbaijan, one term in Kazakhstan, and one term in Uzbekistan. In this way, we need to get to know the entire Turkish world and raise intellectuals. Of course, the Turkish world is also a red apple, but achieving this goal also depends on removing all the borders between us. In order to remove these borders, there must be friendships between us. The dialogues between us must be strengthened. It is not just a matter of the alphabet, but no matter which corner of the Turkish world they are born in. We need to find a means where every Turkish child can understand each other, if not 100%, then 70%, 80%. All of these are possible. Of course, amidst these uncertainties in the world, we need the Turkish world, which has China on one side, Russia on the other, Europe on the other, and the Middle East and Africa on the other, to stand back to back, draw strength from each other, and be surrounded by dynamics. If there will be a new paradigm in the world after the West, if it will promise the world more peace, more stability, if a new international law plane will be established, if the countries that believe in this will come together and create a new "They should be discussing and discussing the paradigm. I believe that the generations that are currently in the decision-making position have of course come to the end of their careers. They are still continuing with the old paradigms. I believe that the paradigm that the coming generations have put forward, with the influence of the younger intellectuals and academics in this hall today, will be able to promise us a more peaceful, more stable world order," he said.
'WE ARE TAKING STEPS TOWARDS INTELLECTUAL PARTNERSHIP'Rector Prof. Dr. Atilla Arkan said, “In a world where chaos and uncertainty await us, the most fundamental power over the capacities of countries is regional cooperation. Therefore, we, as the Turkic world, are in great need of cooperation. One of the most important things in this regional cooperation is undoubtedly to develop intellectual leadership, intellectual capacity and intellectual understanding. Therefore, as Ibn Haldun University, we are constantly taking steps towards establishing an intellectual partnership and brotherhood with the Turkic world, not only with the Turkic world, but also with the Middle East, and with all countries that share our heart geography and seek goodness and justice. Here, we are nearing the end of the Joint Master's program with 3 countries, led by our Haydar Aliyev Eurasia Research Center, with faculty member and student exchange, panels, summer schools. All these offer ways to build the future in the world and contribute to the future with your own efforts.''
