The Türkiye İş Bankası Istanbul Marathon once again brought continents together

İşbank continues its support for the Istanbul Marathon, launched on the 100th anniversary of our Republic. The only marathon in the world to run between two continents, the marathon, which hosts thousands of runners from Türkiye and around the world each year, began with a start at the Anatolian side entrance of the July 15 Martyrs' Bridge.
The 47th Istanbul Marathon, which is among Europe's three Gold Label marathons according to the criteria set by the World Athletics Association and kicked off this year with great excitement, is attracting more attention each year, both for the unique course it offers professional athletes and the motivation it offers for those trying to incorporate more sports into their daily lives.
İş Bankası General Manager Hakan Aran, commenting on the marathon, said, "We are delighted to once again support the Türkiye İş Bankası Istanbul Marathon, which has been associated with us since 2023, the year we celebrated the centennial of our Republic, and which we even simply called the 'İŞtanbul Marathon' in this year's commercial. I would like to thank all the athletes and runners who participate in this event every year, highlighting the fun side of sports with their energy. I wish them continued success and continued love of sports."
Spor İstanbul General Manager Prof. Dr. Bilge Donuk stated that the 47th Istanbul Marathon, organized by Türkiye İş Bankası and one of Türkiye's most established and longest-running international sports organizations, kicked off with great enthusiasm. Prof. Dr. Donuk said, “The Istanbul Marathon has a unique structure not only as the only marathon run across continents, but also with its 15.5K, Corporate Run, and Public Run, designed to connect the city with sports, encourage philanthropy, and offer sports fans the opportunity to experience Istanbul. In this respect, the Istanbul Marathon constitutes one of the city's most important brands. The organization's increasing success every year demonstrates Istanbul's competence in international sporting events and is considered one of the most concrete indicators that we can host the Olympic Games, a long-awaited dream.”
A total of 41,416,000 people registered for the marathon, which was organized with the slogan "The World's Only Intercontinental Marathon" and in which runners from 126 countries participated, including 5,976 in the 42K, 12,440 in the 15.5K, 18,000 in the Corporate Run and 5,000 in the Public Run.
