The new Renault Austral is now available in Türkiye

The new Renault Austral, Renault's representative in the C segment, has been launched in Türkiye with its new face and enhanced equipment. The model, featuring fresh design lines, stands out with its dynamic lines, modern lighting signature, and revised body proportions.

Commenting on the model, MAİS A.Ş. General Manager Dr. Berk Çağdaş said, "The new Renault Austral is one of our models that reinforces our strong position in the C segment and raises the bar in this class. With its spacious interior, 200 hp full hybrid engine, advanced 4Control driving technology, and driver recognition system, it offers a serious alternative not only in its own class but also in the upper segment. I believe that the Austral will once again attract significant attention with its new look."

The features of the model were explained as follows:

The new Renault Austral reflects the brand’s new design language with its completely renewed front and rear design, more muscular lines, and high-quality details. The similar front fascia design with the Rafale creates a strong visual image belonging to the family. Esprit Alpine equipment, which stands out with its techno and sporty details, is offered in the Turkish market. While the techno version features safety packages, chrome roof bars, and Google services, the Esprit Alpine stands out with black roof bars, special ‘Altitude’ 20-inch wheels, carbon-look seat upholstery, and blue stitching details. LED headlights, new 3D-look rear lighting, and special colors such as Satin Pearl White offered on the Esprit Alpine version make the model stand out in its class.

Technology and comfort are at the forefront in the cabin. The Google-integrated openR Link system, a 12.3-inch digital instrument cluster, and a 12-inch multimedia screen offer a spacious digital area of 774 square centimeters.

The Harman Kardon sound system offers a premium experience with sound effects developed in collaboration with Jean-Michel Jarre. The seats have been given a more ergonomic design, while acoustic insulation and a next-generation suspension system have enhanced interior quietness and comfort. Whether driving or parking, passengers experience a much more comfortable journey thanks to the more ergonomic front seats and improved NVH insulation.

The model transforms every journey into a personalized experience with its driver recognition system. The vehicle recognizes the user thanks to profile data and automatically adjusts many details such as seat position, rearview mirror adjustment, ambient lighting, display preferences, and driving modes to the driver’s preferences. This feature allows different users to use the same vehicle effortlessly and comfortably. This system also greets the driver with a special ‘welcome scenario’, providing a modern experience with special animations and sound effects on the digital displays. At the heart of the model is the E-Tech Full Hybrid powertrain, which works with a 1.2-liter turbo gasoline engine, two electric motors, and an intelligent transmission. Producing a total of 200 hp, the system accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 8.4 seconds. Average fuel consumption is 4.7 l/100 km, with emissions of just 107 g/km (WLTP). This system automatically manages energy in different driving scenarios, from fully electric driving to hybrid mode. Additionally, a 160 hp mild hybrid engine with CVT automatic transmission is also offered in Türkiye.

New shock absorbers improve both ride comfort and roadholding. The 200 hp E-Tech full hybrid engine delivers a balanced blend of power and efficiency, while the driving experience has been optimized compared to the previous generation with smoother gear shifts and improved acceleration performance.

Thanks to the new-generation advanced 4Control four-wheel steering system, the model offers superior maneuverability in urban use with a 10.1-meter turning circle. At high speeds, the rear wheels turn in the same direction as the front wheels, increasing stability and road holding. Thanks to the Multi-Sense feature, users can adjust the driving mode (Eco, Comfort, Sport, Perso) according to their preferences. The model is equipped with 28 different advanced driver assistance systems. These include safety systems such as Lane Departure Assist, Blind Spot Warning System, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, and Automatic Emergency Braking System. Active Driver Assist, which offers Level 2 autonomous driving, ensures a safe and comfortable drive with its combination of lane centering and adaptive cruise control.

The Safety Score and Safety Coach features analyze the driver's driving style and offer suggestions for improvement. The My Safety Switch feature allows you to activate ADAS systems with personalized settings at the touch of a button.

The model offers versatile functionality with its foldable and adjustable rear seats. Sliding rear seats, which can be slid back and forth by 16 centimeters, allow you to customize the luggage capacity according to your needs. In the E-Tech 200 hp version, luggage capacity ranges from 527 to 1,736 liters, while in the mild hybrid version, this capacity increases to 555 to 1,761 liters. The electric tailgate, 60:40 split-folding rear seats, and ample storage space provide functionality for families.
