Protesters attacked police at Boğaziçi University: 13 police officers injured, 97 detained

Nurettin Yıldız participated as a speaker in the conference titled "Islamic Sciences: For Whom, How Much?" organized by Boğaziçi University Islamic Studies Club (BİSAK). A protest march was organized against Yıldız before the conference, while police teams took security measures on the campus. At around 20:45, a group gathered on Boğaziçi University's North Campus and tried to prevent the activities of the student club. Police teams warned the group to disperse. The group ignored the warnings and attacked the Rapid Response Force Department teams. 13 police officers were slightly injured in the attack. A total of 97 protesters, 39 of whom were women, were detained during the incidents. It was learned that the detained individuals are continuing their procedures at the police station.
