Gold warnings from experts about gold counterfeiting

During the period when gold prices are on the rise, fake gold cases are increasing in the market. While citizens are looking for safe investments, scammers are targeting both consumers and the jewelry sector with fake gold. Ahmet Cumhur Kitiş, Chairman of the Board of Demaş Jewelry Inc., one of the companies that has been making jewelry for years, warned citizens against fake gold and made important statements.
Stating that counterfeiting incidents have increased in recent months, especially in gram gold, bracelets and quarter gold coins, Kitiş said, "These products, which are almost impossible to distinguish from the outside, contain insufficient or completely fake material in terms of grammage. Counterfeiting incidents have reached a dangerous level. The jeweler from whom the purchase will be made must be approved by the Ministry of Trade and registered with the relevant chambers. The products must be mint-printed, certified and invoiced. As Demaş A.Ş., we offer all our products as documented and certified refinery production."
"Punitive sanctions should be applied more effectively"Emphasizing that inspections should be increased in order to maintain trust in the sector, Kitiş said, "The production and sale of fake gold is an organized fraud crime. Both financial and criminal sanctions should be applied more effectively in this regard."
