Factors such as stress, inactivity and insomnia lead individuals to chronic diseases.

Internal Medicine Specialist Assoc. Prof. Dr. Rıdvan Sivritepe warned that factors like a busy schedule, screen addiction, and stress are pushing individuals to the brink of chronic illness. Sivritepe said, "Today, many people are not fully ill, but they are not fully healthy either," emphasizing that health can no longer be maintained spontaneously and requires conscious effort.
'MODERN LIFE BRINGS RISKS AS WELL AS CONVENIENCE'Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sivritepe said, "Modern life has provided us with comfort, but we are silently paying the price with our health. Our bodies and minds are in constant alert. Staying healthy no longer happens automatically; it requires conscious effort."
'INSOMNIA IS THE HIDDEN EPIDEMIC OF THE MODERN AGE'Assoc. Prof. Sivritepe emphasized that quality sleep is the most fundamental protector of health, saying, “7-8 hours of quality sleep each night is the most effective detox without medication. Someone who can't regulate their sleep loses both their immunity and their mood.” Assoc. Prof. Sivritepe continued, “Choosing real food—consuming what comes from nature—even getting up every 30 minutes and taking short walks makes a difference. We should spend at least an hour a day in a quiet, screen-free space. This is no longer a luxury; it's the new rule of survival.”
'SLOWING DOWN IS THE FIRST STEP TO HEALING YOURSELF'Emphasizing the importance of regular health checks, Assoc. Prof. Sivritepe concluded by saying:
"Health can be preserved when we recognize it. Speed is the greatest disease of the modern age. Slowing down is the first step to healing ourselves."
