Burak Deniz was acquitted from the case filed by his colleague Nilperi Şahinkaya

The verdict has been reached in the lawsuit filed by his colleague Nilperi Şahinkaya against Burak Deniz, who plays lawyer Ertan Aydın in the new season of the TV series "Sahtekarlar" and which has been going on for years.

According to Birsen Altuntaş's report, the Public Prosecutor requested punishment in his opinion on the merits, stating that Burak Deniz committed the crime of openly insulting and threatening Necmi Deniz in a public environment while at the same table in Adana, and of insulting Nilperi Şahinkaya. Furthermore, it was established that the defendant punched Necmi with the intention of wounding him but the punch did not hit him, thus committing the crime of attempted simple wounding.

Nilperi Şahinkaya and her lawyer Nail Gönenli attended the final hearing held yesterday at the Adana 15th Criminal Court of First Instance via video call from Istanbul.

WILL THE DECISION BE APPEALED?

Considering the lack of clear, conclusive and sufficient evidence beyond any doubt that Burak Deniz, against whom a public lawsuit was filed, committed the crimes attributed to him, the court ruled to acquit him on the grounds that it was not proven that the crimes attributed to him were committed by the defendant.

It was learned that Nilperi Şahinkaya will appeal.
