The 'Learn Your Ideal Weight, Live Healthy' campaign reached approximately 7.7 million people.
According to the statement made by the Ministry, a total of 7 million 673 thousand 623 people were measured for height and weight in the 8 weeks between May 10 and July 4, 2025, within the scope of the "Learn Your Ideal Weight, Live Healthy" campaign, which was implemented with the aim of increasing awareness of healthy living in society.
Of those measured, approximately 6 percent were underweight, 33 percent were normal weight, 35 percent were overweight, and 26 percent were obese. Overweight was higher in men and obesity was higher in women.
The eighth week of the campaign, spanning June 28 to July 4, 2025, saw the highest participation rate yet. In one week, a total of 1,413,732 people, including 650,510 men and 763,222 women, had their height and weight measured.
FREE NUTRITION AND PHYSICAL ACTIVITY CONSULTANCY SUPPORTA total of 860,262 people, who were determined to be overweight or within the obesity limits as a result of the measurements, were referred to primary health care institutions for free nutrition and physical activity counseling.
Of those referred to counseling services, 466,921 were women and 393,341 were men.
These services, offered based on personal preference, help individuals gain healthy eating habits, review their lifestyles, and increase their physical activity levels.
