She served the municipality for 43 years! İmamoğlu's 'Nazan Başelli' protest

Nazan Başelli, the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality Municipal Police Chief who had worked for the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality for 43 years, was detained and arrested in the second wave of operations targeting the Istanbul Metropolitan Municipality. Başelli has been in custody for 100 days, and Mayor Ekrem İmamoğlu reacted to the situation.
İmamoğlu's message shared on the social media account of the 'Presidential Candidate Office' included the following statements:
"43 YEARS OF SERVICE! Nazan Başelli started her career as a municipal police officer at the Istanbul Municipality in 1982 and rose all the way to the Anatolian Side Municipal Police Directorate. For 43 years, she served Istanbul continuously under seven different mayors. She was never subjected to a single investigation. She witnessed many eras, from Bedrettin Dalan to Nurettin Sözen, Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, Ali Müfit Gürtuna to Ali Yerlikaya, and Ekrem İmamoğlu. A lifetime of labor, a life dedicated to a city... Nazan Başelli has been detained for 100 days!
