Hearing date in Izmir! Tunç Soyer will appear before the judge for the first time

A total of 76 defendants, including former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and CHP İzmir Provincial Chairman Şenol Aslanoğlu, who were arrested on charges of "rigging tenders and performance of obligations" and "qualified fraud" within the scope of the corruption investigation into İzmir Metropolitan Municipality subsidiary İZBETON, are appearing before the judge. 11 of them are in custody and 65 are not in custody.
Heavy security measures were observed before the hearing at the Aliağa-Şakran Prison Campus. CHP leader Özgür Özel will also be monitoring the case.
SENTENCE REQUEST OF 3 TO 45 YEARS In relation to the file involving 12 complainants and 450 victims, it is alleged that 65 defendants, 11 of whom are in custody, including former İzmir Metropolitan Municipality Mayor Tunç Soyer and CHP İzmir Provincial Chair Şenol Aslanoğlu, were jointly and consecutively involved in aggravated fraud crimes. The defendants are alleged to have used public institutions and organizations, public professional organizations, and legal entities such as political parties, foundations, or associations as tools, and prison sentences ranging from 3 to 45 years have been sought for the defendants.
