THREE IMMUNOTHERAPY DRUGS ARE REIMBURSED FOR THE FIRST TIME

Currently, two cancer drugs were reimbursed in some indications. Considering the scientific data, it was decided to increase the number of drugs and expand the scope.

THE COSTS OF 5 DRUGS WILL BE PAID FOR 25 DIFFERENT TYPES OF CANCER

With the latest regulation, three immunotherapy drugs used in cancer treatment were included in the scope of reimbursement for the first time. The scope of reimbursement for two drugs was expanded. The drugs in question were included in reimbursement for 25 different types of cancer, including classical Hodgkin lymphoma, melanoma, malignant melanoma, colorectal cancer, small cell lung cancer, stomach cancer, renal cell carcinoma and breast cancer. The drugs in question can be applied in second and third level private and public hospitals that have agreements with SGK.

CYSTIC FIBROSIS MEDICINE IS ALSO AMONG THE THOSE THAT ARE REFUNDED

Cystic fibrosis is a genetic disease that is seen in the lungs, pancreas, intestines, sweat glands and exocrine glands. It can affect multiple systems and organs of the body at the same time, such as the respiratory system and digestive system. A drug that is included in the reimbursement list for the first time is also expected to make a positive contribution to the course of the disease.

48 THOUSAND CANCER PATIENTS WILL BENEFIT FROM THE NEW REGULATION

Approximately 48,000 cancer patients and approximately 1,000 cystic fibrosis patients will benefit from the new regulation. With the latest regulation, the number of cancer drugs on the reimbursement list has increased to 784.
