5 immunotherapy drugs added to the Social Security Institution (SGK) reimbursement list

Minister of Labor and Social Security Vedat Işıkhan shared the following on his social media account regarding the circular published in the Official Gazette:

The regulation, which President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan announced for our citizens battling cancer following our last Cabinet meeting, was published in the Official Gazette tonight. Thus, we have completed a significant improvement for our citizens receiving cancer treatment with SUT. We have included five immunotherapy drugs used in 25 different cancer treatments in the reimbursement list of our Social Security Institution. We have also added a drug that provides effective early-stage treatment and improves the quality of life for cystic fibrosis patients aged 2 and older to the reimbursement list.

Işıkhan stated that the regulations they have implemented have ensured patients' access to world-class, proven treatments. He said, "I once again express my gratitude to our President for this important step and the vision they have demonstrated. I wholeheartedly thank our Minister of Health, Prof. Dr. Kemal Memişoğlu, and our Minister of Treasury and Finance, Mehmet Şimşek, for their sensitivity and support throughout the process. I wish our patients a speedy recovery and wish them all the best."
